Position Summary The Bakery Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the growth, operations, and customer experience at WA-BAGEL. Working in close collaboration with our Head Baker, this position is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, organizing events and promotional activities, and overseeing inventory and supply management.

Key Responsibilities

- Daily Store Operations & Food Prep: Perform daily cashier duties (POS operation) and prepare made-to-order Japanese-style bagel sandwiches following company recipes and quality standards.
- Sales & Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Head Baker to create and implement creative sales strategies, seasonal promotions, and marketing activities to drive store revenue.
- Events & Promotions: Plan and execute special bakery events, community engagement activities, and in-store sales promotion campaigns.
- Inventory & Supply Management: Manage daily purchasing, stock levels, ingredient ordering, and inventory control to optimize costs and minimize waste.
- Customer Experience:



Deliver exceptional, welcoming customer service, build relationships with regulars, and address guest inquiries professionally.
- Team Support & Store Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary shop floor, foster a positive and collaborative work environment, and assist with daily operational or scheduling needs.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards are consistently maintained.

Qualifications

- Genuine love for customer service, retail, and engaging with guests.
- Willingness to handle daily front-of-house operations, including cashiering and light food preparation (sandwich assembly).
- Strong interest in leadership and management (previous store management, supervisory, or retail leadership experience is preferred/an asset).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work core weekday hours (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) with flexibility to work approximately two weekend shifts per month.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
