Business acumen - You have working knowledge of commercial lending, including a focus on specialized senior and subordinated lending products (i.e., structured/acquisition financings, project financings, loan syndication) and other CIBC group core products and services. Knowledge of business, legal, tax, banking and regulatory framework affecting financial requirements of customers. You have strong written and verbal communication skills to present financial information to clients, in both French and English.
You have a BBA or similar undergraduate degree. Other financial education is considered an asset (i.e. MBA, CA, CBV, CMA, CFA etc.), but not a requirement.
You have experience in a commercial credit and/or equity investment environment. You understand lending principles, procedures and practices, credit assessment and structuring and industry and competitive analysis. Strong financial modeling and accounting skills is an asset. You have experience assembling proposals and making recommendations.
You are a strong communicator. You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
You have solid organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and demonstrate attention to detail.
