Industrial Electrician – Road Technician

Sunbelt Rentals is hiring an Industrial Electrician – Road Technician to support our growing Power & HVAC division in Alberta.

In this role, you’ll diagnose, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, power distribution equipment, and temporary power solutions-working independently in the field to keep our customers running.

What You’ll Work On

- Industrial power distribution systems
- Generators and temporary power solutions
- Electrical control panels and switchgear
- Industrial heaters and HVAC electrical systems
- Pumps and related support equipment
- Diesel engines and associated electrical controls

What You’ll Do

Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on:
- Power generation equipment and generators
- Electrical distribution systems and switchgear
- Industrial control systems, PLCs, and VFDs
- Temporary power setups and job site systems
- Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues
- Complete preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and safety
- Work independently as a field technician across multiple customer sites
- Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety, and environmental standards
- Support commissioning and setup of temporary power and equipment installations

What We’re Looking For

- Industrial Electrician experience in commercial or industrial settings
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and electrical controls




- Troubleshooting electrical systems in the field
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Robust problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s license and personal hand tools

Experience with generators, diesel engines, HVAC electrical systems, or pumps is considered an asset.

Salary

Base Pay Range: 31.80 - 45.72
