The Whitehorse Correctional
Centre invites experienced nurses to apply for two full-time positions. This role, set in a dynamic correctional environment, involves delivering primary healthcare and mental health services. You'll use critical thinking, clinical skills, and a cooperative approach, impacting health outcomes for clients with a range of conditions. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive healthcare within a correctional facility
- Manage urgent and chronic health conditions
- Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions
- Conduct mental health evaluations and treatment plans
- Provide education on health maintenance and prevention Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Valid RN registration and recent relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to make clinical decisions independently
