YCAA Inc. is seeking a Literary Agent to help grow our expanding literary representation division.

This is a flexible, primarily remote opportunity for someone entrepreneurial who wants the autonomy to build and manage a roster of screenwriters, writer-directors and creators within an established Canadian talent agency.

We are open to candidates from talent representation, development, production, publishing, rights, acquisitions and related areas of film and television. Previous literary agent experience is an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities include identifying and signing talent, developing client careers and material, pitching writers and projects, building relationships with producers, production companies, broadcasters, studios and streamers, and helping shape the continued growth of YCAA’s literary business.

We are looking for someone who is:

- Entrepreneurial and self-motivated
- Passionate about film, television and storytelling
- Robust at building relationships and communicating with industry professionals
- Comfortable reviewing and discussing scripts, pitches and creative material




- Interested in discovering talent and creating opportunities
- Ready for greater autonomy and responsibility

This is a freelance, commission-based opportunity with meaningful upside and flexibility. The successful candidate will have access to YCAA’s agency platform, industry relationships and growing network.

Additional opportunities may include select screenings, festivals, markets, networking events and industry travel, including potential access to TIFF and the Canadian Screen Awards, subject to availability and accreditation.

YCAA is based in the Toronto Area. The role can be performed primarily remotely, although Toronto-area availability for occasional meetings and industry events is preferred.
