GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The purpose of the position is to ensure that HumanWare obtains the best possible cost for all parts and products in its portfolio.

As such, the Strategic Procurement Manager works in close collaboration with R D in the design process to assist in the supply of components, maintain the AVL list of suppliers, ensure that the selected suppliers meet HumanWare s selection criteria and spear heads all negotiations with major suppliers.

Furthermore, he will collaborate with the Logistics and Planning Manager to resolve any supplier issues related to product availability or product costs overrun.

The latter must also ensure negotiated material costs are respected throughout the determined periods.

SPECIFIC DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

Identifies, evaluates and recommends suppliers globally to ensure quality, price and availability of parts and raw materials; Negotiates the cost of critical or strategic electronic and mechanical parts selected by R D during product development;

In collaboration with the Logistics and Planning Manager, establishes the supplier kpis Review the cost of components for all material lists of products developed by HumanWare;

Review optimize the purchase order to payment process including vendor invoice purchase price validation;

Optimizes the supply of parts through consolidation efforts with preferred suppliers;

Recommends to his superior strategies for the supply of parts that will ensure the best material cost while respecting inventory turnover objectives;

Approves product and parts purchase orders, more specifically the prices Informs his superior of potential cost increases and/or supply problems;

Evaluates the practices of contract manufacturers

Participates in the evaluation of the economic performance of contract manufacturers.

Recommends the adoption of measures intended to improve methods, equipment performance, product quality;

In conjunction with the Sr. Director Operations, establishes the performance indices of his department which will be monitored in the dashboard of the Operations committee of which he is a part;

Manages, coaches and supervises the work of members of the procurement team;

Evaluates the performance of his team members and recommends the nature of salary increases;

Recommends to the Sr. Director Operations the human,



material and financial resource needs of his department;

Ensures compliance with the expenditure budget allocated to its department;

Participates in interviews and recommends the hiring of team members Participates in the preparation of operating budgets and the evaluation of costs of goods sold;

Develops, maintains and periodically reviews procedures, work instructions and quality records related to its fields of activity;

Regularly informs his superior of potential problems in the supply of merchandise.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS PROFILE ACADEMIC TRAINING :

Bachelor s degree in administration or engineering Could be compensated by extensive relevant experience

WORK EXPERIENCE :

8 years of experience in procurement, in the field of supply chain, knowledge of the electronics electronics market is a plus

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB OBJECTIVE

The objective of this position is to ensure that HumanWare obtains the best possible cost for all parts and products within its portfolio. In this capacity, the Strategic Buyer works closely with the R&D; department during the design process to facilitate component sourcing, maintain the supplier AVL (Approved Vendor List), ensure that selected suppliers meet HumanWare's selection criteria, and lead all negotiations with key suppliers.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES

- Identify, evaluate, and recommend suppliers globally to ensure the quality, price, and availability of parts and raw materials.

- Negotiate the cost of critical or strategic electronic and mechanical parts selected by the R&D; department during product development.

- Review component costs for all bills of materials (BOMs) of products developed by HumanWare.





- Recommend sourcing strategies to management that ensure the best material costs while meeting inventory turnover objectives.

- Inform management of potential cost increases and/or supply issues.

- Participate in evaluating the financial performance of subcontractors.

- Regularly inform management of potential issues related to the supply of goods.

- Support the department during vacation periods and sick leave absences.

- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships and improved responsiveness in the event of market fluctuations.

- Manage supply-related risks, including anticipating raw material shortages and implementing alternative strategies.

- Monitor supplier performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure rigorous tracking of quality, delivery timelines, and costs.

- Manage supplier contracts, including negotiation, monitoring, and renewal, to ensure favorable terms and continuity of supply.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS – PROFILE

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering (significant and relevant experience may compensate for the absence of a degree).

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

8 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.

Knowledge of the electronics market is an asset.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

- Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- Knowledge of Great Plains or another ERP system.
