Support meaningful engagement within Northern communities as a Senior Specialist in People, Engagement, and Learning at MakeWay. This permanent full-time role is ideal for experienced HR professionals eager to make an impact in Yukon and surrounding areas. This position, based in Yellowknife, NT, requires a skilled communicator to enhance employee relations for our Northern Shared Platform projects.

You’ll address complex issues while fostering leadership capacity and ensuring adherence to effective people practices across jurisdictions. The role also includes compliance support and assisting project teams with HR governance. Key Responsibilities:

- Lead PEL initiatives for Northern Shared Platform projects
- Provide strategic advice on employee relations and conflict resolution




- Collaborate on recruitment and coaching for project directors
- Ensure compliance with PEL policies and employment legislation
- Identify support trends and report to management Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree in Human Resources or related field
- 3-5 years of experience with Northern communities
- Knowledge of Canadian employment regulations
- Familiarity with community-based or nonprofit work
