The Opportunity

We're working with an established multidisciplinary engineering firm looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join its team serving the Peace Region and Western Canada.

This isn't a narrow design-desk role.

You'll work across a diverse mix of commercial, institutional, residential and industrial projects, combining hands-on structural engineering with project ownership, technical leadership, field involvement and direct client interaction.

The work ranges from buildings and existing structures to equipment foundations, pipe racks, platforms and modular structures.

For the right engineer, there's also an opportunity to help shape and grow the structural practice.

What You'll Do

- Lead structural design in steel, concrete and wood
- Work on building and industrial projects from design through construction
- Review and seal structural drawings, calculations and field documentation
- Conduct field reviews and assessments of existing structures
- Work directly with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders
- Collaborate with civil, geotechnical and surveying professionals
- Review technical work and mentor engineers, EITs and technologists
- Help establish technical standards and support the growth of the structural practice

What We're Looking For

- P.Eng.



registration in AB / BC, or immediate eligibility through Canadian reciprocal registration
- Approximately 8+ years of structural engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience independently sealing structural work in Canada
- Strong building-design experience with exposure to industrial structures
- Experience with steel, concrete and wood
- Strong understanding of Canadian building codes and structural standards
- Experience taking projects from design through construction and field review
- A practical approach to engineering — designs need to be safe, buildable and commercially sensible
- Strong client communication and project leadership skills
