Become a Residential Support Counsellor with The Salvation Army, focusing on adults with developmental disabilities and enhancing their independence. Engage in meaningful programming and care that transforms lives. This role involves executing tailored programs that cater to the needs of Service Users, ensuring all physical and emotional requirements are met.
Collaborate closely with colleagues and maintain explicit documentation of all activities through AIMS. Flexibility is essential, as shifts may vary throughout the week. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute goal-driven programs for adult Service Users
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of living environments
- Record accurate documentation of client interactions
- Support spiritual and emotional development through programs
- Provide transportation for Service Users when needed Requirements:
- At least two years of relevant experience required
- Completion of a recognized Human Services diploma
- Certifications in First Aid & CPR and CPI preferred
- Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s license
- Obtain a Criminal Records Check for vulnerable sectors Empower individuals through dedicated support and compassionate caregiving within The Salvation Army.
