Overview
Jenna Planned This is an award winning event/ wedding planning and design agency within the GTA. We play a pivotal role in curating unique event environments which foster and cultivate authentic event experiences.
By being apart of our team, we work with you to create truly unforgettable moments for our clients who along the way become our friends. You will be apart of fun environments where we spread positivity, kindness, appreciation and love.
This position requires a blend of creativity, organization, and exceptional leadership skills. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the wedding day process, from our initial team chat in to the final execution of the event.
Duties
OVERALL-
- Attend paid wedding week team chat in calls to review the schedule/ client file created for you.
- Attend and lead the wedding rehearsal (organizing processional, cueing, note-taking, cueing recessional).
- Manage pre-created schedule on wedding day.
- Serve as point of contact for all vendors on day of.
- Manage the overall team of vendors for the day: ensure they are on time, they are setting up correctly/ executing their contracted role.
- Assist couple/ wedding party with tasks.
- Keep couple, party & vendors organized & on time.
- Resolve/ provide solutions for any wedding day issues that may arise (with support of your wedding day manager).
CEREMONY-
- Organize, cue & execute ceremony processional.
- Supervise ceremony.
RECEPTION-
- Oversee vendor setup/ execute minor set up on the wedding day, ensuring everything is according to the client's predetermined design plan.
- Decor checks & counting chairs.
- Organize, cue & execute grand entrances.
- Cue all participants/ vendors for speeches, dances, special presentations, etc,.
- Communicate with venue/ kitchen staff to align schedule with serving timeframes.
Qualifications
- A passion for event planning and design.
- A creative eye in terms of design; any background in art & design is considered an asset!!
- Minimum of 2 years of experience within the events industry; wedding experience is a MUST.
- Full G-license/ access to vehicle.
- Willingness to travel within the GTA.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Solid organizational skills with excellent time management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and vendors.
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous for understanding guest services.
- A creative mindset with attention to detail to bring unique wedding visions to life.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to commit to a wedding date 6 months in advance.
Pay per event/wedding: $240.00-$440.00.
