Position Summary

Russell Tobin is seeking experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for Acute Care assignments across British Columbia. This opportunity offers the chance to work in hospital settings, providing high-quality patient care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide direct nursing care to acute care patients within the LPN scope of practice.
- Perform patient assessments, monitor health status, and report changes in condition.
- Administer medications, treatments, and prescribed therapies.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Provide wound care, dressing changes, and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed clinical documentation.
- Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications

- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) .
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Acute Care, Medical-Surgical, or Hospital nursing experience .
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Solid clinical assessment, organization, and patient care skills.




- Experience administering medications and providing direct patient care in a hospital setting.
- Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Position Details

- Assignment Length: 4-13 weeks (extension opportunities available)
- Location: Multiple hospital locations across British Columbia, including Terrace, Quesnel, Prince George, Sechelt, Prince Rupert, Smithers , and other communities (On-site)
- Schedule & Shifts: Full-time hours; Day, Evening, and Night shifts based on facility requirements
