Job Summary The ASL Tutors tutor students at all levels of ASL language study, but work primarily with first and second-year language students in classes (TA) and individual sessions.
Job Duties Include
- Conduct one-on-one tutor sessions first and second year ASL students.
- Basic record keeping of oral assignments.
- Offer walk-in or Zoom-based tutoring service during posted hours.
- Proctoring exams.
- Work directly with ASL Program Director in classes and office hours.
- Maintaining and posting available hours.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Other duties as necessary or assigned.
Job Requirements
- Must be a current CSS student.
- Very high proficiency in ASL is required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills required.
- Job functions require sitting during shift.
- Professional presence to represent the College to the public required.
- Ability to perform all of the above functions during an assigned workday without significant risk of injury.
- Valuable attendance is required.
