Responsibilities

- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service flow and high-quality guest experiences
- Supervise and motivate team members, including servers, bartenders, cooks, and food handlers, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Support hiring processes by participating in interviewing candidates to build a strong, capable team
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to maintain health standards
- Manage cash handling procedures and POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS to ensure accurate transactions
- Oversee food preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
- Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure overall guest satisfaction through excellent service




- Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant
- Support training initiatives related to food industry best practices, hospitality standards, and team development

Qualifications

- Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, serving, and food safety protocols
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros or similar platforms for cash handling and order processing
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Experience with restaurant management tasks including inventory control, food handling standards, and staff training
- Knowledge of hospitality operations gained through restaurant or hotel experience is highly desirable
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
