The role of a Registered Social Worker entails providing essential psychosocial assessments and developing strategies for optimal patient recovery in bariatric services.

Engage in patient and family education while facilitating support networks. This opportunity also includes program development and quality improvement activities in a cooperative inter-professional team setting to support diverse patient needs and enhance service delivery. Key Responsibilities:

- Provide psychosocial assessments and case management expertise
- Develop patient-centered intervention plans




- Communicate effectively within the care team for coordinated care
- Identify and address high-risk social issues impacting patients
- Mentor and supervise students in clinical practices Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
- At least 1 year relevant clinical experience
- Licensure with the Ontario College of Social Workers is essential
- Knowledge of mental health regulations and best practices
