BARISTA / CAFÉ ALL-ROUNDER — PART-TIME The Tea Garden is a café, bakery, and tearoom located on Main Street in Stouffville. We’re looking for experienced Baristas / Café All-Rounders to join our team and help create a warm, welcoming experience for every guest.

THE TEAM The Tea Garden team is at the heart of the guest experience. We work across the café, bakery, and tearoom to deliver friendly service, quality food and drinks, and a beautiful experience from the moment guests walk through the door.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an opportunity to join a growing café and tearoom where no two shifts are exactly the same. You’ll work across both front and back of house, preparing specialty drinks, assisting guests, supporting afternoon tea service, and keeping the café running smoothly.

We’re looking for people who take pride in their work, enjoy working with people, and can maintain a high standard of service even during busy periods.

THE ROLE

As a Barista / Café All-Rounder, you will:

- Prepare and serve specialty coffee, espresso drinks, matcha, and tea
- Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient customer service
- Take orders, operate the POS system, and process payments accurately
- Assist with seating and table service during afternoon tea
- Prepare and plate food and baked goods as needed
- Assist with dishes, cleaning, restocking, and general café upkeep
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the shift
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Work efficiently and communicate effectively during busy service periods
- Support the team wherever needed to keep service running smoothly

THE QUALIFICATIONS The Barista / Café All-Rounder has:
- Previous barista or café experience preferred
- A valid Food Handler’s Certificate
- Experience providing customer service in a café, restaurant,



hospitality, or similar setting
- Confidence working both behind the bar and front of house
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean workspace
- Basic POS and cash-handling experience
- The ability to work early morning shifts
- A positive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude

THE LOGISTICS As a Part-Time Barista / Café All-Rounder, you have:
- The ability to work part-time hours
- Availability for early morning shifts
- The ability to work weekends and holidays as required
- The ability to work in person at our Stouffville location
- Reliable transportation to and from the café is an asset

Actual hours scheduled each week will depend on your availability and business needs.
