We are partnering with a well-established commercial real estate organization seeking an experienced Building Operator to oversee a portfolio of commercial office, retail, and industrial properties. You’ll oversee the daily operations of commercial office, retail,



and warehouse properties You’ll manage maintenance staff, contractors, and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery You’ll conduct routine building inspections and coordinate repairs, maintenance activities, and safety initiatives

You’ll monitor HVAC, electrical, mechanical, security, fire alarm, and life safety systems to ensure optimal performance You’ll respond to tenant concerns, service requests, emergencies, and participate in an after-hours on-call rotation You’ll manage service contracts, support insurance claims and restoration activities, and assist with leasing-related requirements

You’ll prepare capital expenditure recommendations and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company standards Skills and Qualifications

5–8 years of progressive experience in commercial, retail, or industrial building operations and maintenance Must be eligible to obtain a Reliability clearance.

Certification in Building Environmental Systems (Class 1 & 2), SMT, 4th/5th Class Stationary Engineer, or equivalent designation Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, life safety,



and related building systems Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and technical documentation Demonstrated leadership experience managing staff, contractors, and service providers Solid problem‑solving, negotiation, customer service, and communication skills Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and emergency response procedures Note from the Hiring Manager
