With approximately 8,500 surgical cases annually, this role involves case sign-out, oversight of laboratory activities, and transfusion medicine. Candidates should have recent clinical expertise, particularly in surgical pathology, and thrive in a collaborative setting with other healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities:
- Sign out surgical pathology and cytology cases daily
- Handle clinical pathology case sign outs, like bone marrow biopsies
- Oversee transfusion medicine and local lab operations
- Engage in daily videoconferences to discuss challenging cases
- Chance for medical directorship in rural labs Requirements:
- Certified by the Canadian Royal College or equivalent
- Strong background in laboratory diagnostics and pathology
- Recent experience in clinical pathology is essential
