Rehoboth Medical Clinic is seeking a motivated and compassionate Clinical Assistant to join our growing primary-care team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with supervising physicians and clinic staff to provide high-quality, patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a physician and within the approved scope of practice, the Clinical Assistant will:

- Obtain medical histories and conduct patient assessments
- Perform appropriate physical examinations
- Formulate clinical impressions and contribute to patient management plans
- Manage common medical conditions, illnesses and injuries in collaboration with the supervising physician
- Order or review investigations as authorized
- Provide patient education and preventive health counselling
- Assist with minor procedures, including wound care and suturing, where appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
- Support the efficient delivery of clinical services and continuity of patient care

Position Details

- Full-time position
- Six- to eight-hour shifts
- Weekday and occasional weekend shifts




- Availability on statutory holidays may occasionally be required
- Competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience

- In-person position
- Expected start date: As soon as possible

Requirements

- Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Clinical Assistant with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba

- Eligible to practise under an approved supervising physician and practice description

- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently within the authorized scope of practice and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team

- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy clinical setting

- Commitment to providing respectful and compassionate care to patients and families

- Experience using an electronic medical record system is an asset
