- (Internal Title: Construction Safety Officer)
- Perform construction assurance and compliance activities on the assigned Projects.
- Support Project teams to develop Safe Work Procedures and to implement effectively for the safe execution of the works.
- Perform formal inspections and audits to ensure compliance with the relevant OHS legislation, standards and contract requirements.
- Provide day to day oversight for on-site construction work conducted by contractors to assess contractor compliance against the relevant OHSA legislation and contract requirements, support with the identification of hazards and implementation of risk mitigation controls.
- Review site activities and provide support for the protection of workers as well as public, infrastructure and operations.
- Engage, coordinate and work with Integrated Project Team and internal/external stakeholders to provide consistent and continuous support.
- In collaboration with the Integrated Project team, review, analyze and outline construction activities and work areas to ensure safe and efficient delivery.




- Participate and/or support others with incident investigations, including follow up actions to ensure implementation of identified corrective actions.
- Assist the Safety Director and Safety team with other tasks as required.

Working Conditions
- 5 Days a week in office.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Experience

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in railway safety, infrastructure and heavy civil

Education:
- College Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Risk Management, or a combination of education and industry experience

Licenses OR Certifications:
- Holding a recognized certification in at least one of the following: Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Canadian Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC), Gold Seal Certificate (GSC) for Construction Safety Coordinator (CSC) or National Safety Officer (NSO) is preferred.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction regulations and its application to construction projects
- Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines with minimum input from leadership
- Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities
- Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.

The base pay range shown below is intended as a guideline to reflect the majority of offers for this role. It does not represent a maximum limit — in some cases, actual compensation may exceed the range where appropriate.
