About the Role
Greggs Marine Interiors is seeking a Contract Draftsman to support drawing production and design coordination for cruise ship interior fit-out and dry dock projects. This is a contract position suited to a detail-oriented drafter comfortable working from architectural and design intent drawings to produce accurate, buildable shop and coordination drawings.
Responsibilities
- Produce and revise detailed shop drawings, elevations, and sections for millwork, cabinetry, and interior finish packages
- Coordinate drawings with designer and client-issued documentation
- Update drawing sets to reflect changes and revisions
- Maintain Greggs Marine Interiors’ drawing standards
- Collaborate with project management, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve design and dimensional conflicts
- Support quantity takeoffs and material specifications as needed
Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or Autodesk Inventor (any combination acceptable)
- Experience drafting cabinetry, millwork, or custom interior joinery preferred
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy in dimensioning
- Experience in marine, hospitality, or commercial interior fit-out an asset
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines in a contract capacity
