Company Overview

Boundary Group is a growing family of industrial manufacturing, machining, mining safety, and specialized service companies operating throughout Western Canada. Our B.C. Finance team supports operating companies in Delta, Langley, North Vancouver, and Port Coquitlam.

Position Summary

Boundary Group is seeking an experienced Corporate Accountant to provide full-cycle accounting and financial reporting support across multiple operating companies. Reporting directly to the Regional Controller, this role works closely with Finance and operational leaders to maintain accurate financial information, resolve discrepancies, strengthen internal controls, and support business decisions.

The successful candidate will hold a CPA designation or be actively working toward one and will bring practical experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, account analysis, and accounting systems. The role also provides exposure to budgeting, forecasting, payroll support, financial due diligence, acquisitions, and business integration.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform full-cycle accounting for assigned companies or business units.

- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, allocations, and adjusting entries.

- Complete bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, government remittances, and intercompany reconciliations.

- Support accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.

- Investigate accounting discrepancies, identify underlying causes, and resolve outstanding items.

- Support and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including transaction review and issue resolution.

- Support biweekly payroll processing, including reviewing hours and resolving discrepancies with site managers.

- Prepare supporting schedules, account analyses, and internal financial and operational reports.





- Review financial information for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate supporting documentation.

- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis.

- Support financial due diligence for potential mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions.

- Review and organize financial information during due diligence and assist with the accounting and financial integration of acquired businesses.

- Respond to accounting inquiries from employees, customers, vendors, auditors, and other business partners.

- Collaborate with Finance and operational teams across multiple Boundary Group companies.

- Support improvements to accounting processes, internal controls, systems, and reporting.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.

- CPA designation or active progression toward completing the CPA program.

- Three or more years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on responsibility for full-cycle accounting.

- Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close schedules, financial reports, and account analyses.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and supporting documentation requirements.

- Ability to analyze financial information, identify inconsistencies, investigate causes, and follow issues through to resolution.

- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience using accounting or ERP software.





- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

- Ability to manage competing priorities, meet reporting deadlines, and work independently.

- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential financial and business information.

Preferred Qualifications

- Exposure to financial due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, business integration, audit, transaction services, or a related area.

- Experience in manufacturing, industrial services, public practice, or a multi-company environment.

- Experience with Power BI or other data analytics tools.

Work Location and Travel The role will initially be based in Delta during onboarding. Once the successful candidate is able to work independently, the primary work location may be Delta or North Vancouver, depending on the candidate’s location and business needs. Occasional travel to Boundary Group locations throughout Metro Vancouver, including Langley and Port Coquitlam, is required.
