Role Description The Delivery Driver is a full time, on-site role based in Saskatoon, SK. This role is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and delivering Prairie Meats products to retail, wholesale, and institutional customers in a timely and professional manner. Day-to-day tasks include verifying orders and documentation, performing basic vehicle inspections, following established routes and delivery schedules, and maintaining product quality during transport.
The Delivery
Driver interacts directly with customers, handles basic paperwork such as delivery confirmations, and assists with unloading products using appropriate equipment. This role also supports warehouse and distribution operations as needed,
following all food safety, health and safety, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and build positive relationships with clients.
- Experience with Forklift Operation or other material-handling equipment, and safe loading/unloading practices using power mobile equipment or by hand.
- Ability and willingness to follow safety procedures;
- Exposure to Sales or Food & Beverage environments, particularly in meat, grocery, or food distribution settings would be an asset.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; eligibility to operate delivery vehicles as required.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to lift, move, and carry product cases and boxes safely.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
- Reliable, punctual, and organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to follow routes and schedules.
- Previous delivery experience using a 5 tonne truck with a lift tailgate is considered an asset.
