Responsibilities

- Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including exams, cleanings, orthodontic adjustments, and restorative work.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using CAD (computer-aided design) tools when necessary.
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring all information is current and confidential.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and supporting pediatric patients with gentle reassurance.
- Support the front desk team by handling check-ins, scheduling appointments,



and managing patient communications as a dental receptionist.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to uphold safety standards.

Requirements

- Proven experience in dental assisting with familiarity in dental terminology and clinical procedures.
- Proficiency with dental management software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of orthodontics techniques and pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care.
- Ability to assist with orthodontic appliances and perform CAD-related tasks for digital impressions or restorations.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant training from an accredited program is required; additional certifications in radiography are advantageous.

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
