As Director, Equipment Finance, you'll play a pivotal role in driving business development, structuring sophisticated financing solutions, and partnering with clients to support their long-term success.

You'll work closely with business owners, executives, and internal partners to deliver customized equipment financing solutions that support growth, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to the Bank's overall success.

What You'll Do

- Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial clients, achieving ambitious sales and revenue objectives for Equipment Finance products and services.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by developing solid client relationships and delivering strategic financing solutions aligned with business goals.
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, and relationship-building activities.
- Partner closely with Commercial Banking colleagues to identify client needs, develop financing strategies, and deliver integrated banking solutions.
- Structure complex equipment finance transactions that create value for clients while maintaining sound credit and risk management practices.
- Lead negotiations and facilitate credit approvals by collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships through cross-selling lending, treasury, cash management, and other banking solutions.
- Develop and execute market growth strategies by leveraging industry expertise, market intelligence, and targeted business development initiatives.
- Act as a strategic resource for clients, helping them navigate capital investment decisions, business expansion plans, and evolving market conditions.




- Represent BMO in the marketplace through participation in industry events, professional associations, and community initiatives.
- Build and maintain a strong network of internal and external contacts to support long-term business development and referral generation.
- Collaborate across business groups to deliver timely, innovative, and client-focused solutions.
- Analyze industry, market, and competitive trends to uncover opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
- Balance growth objectives with prudent risk management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, bank policies, and sound credit practices.

Salary:

$70,000.00 - $150,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles,



the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
