Natural Habitat Adventures is currently seeking a driven, passionate, competent, organized, and fun individual to join our Winnipeg team in support of our Polar Bear Quest & Helicopter Safari, Canada's Premier Polar Bear Adventure, Ultimate Churchill: Tundra Lodge & Town, and Tundra Lodge Adventure programs.

The Driver and Operations Specialist is responsible for the safe shuttling of our guests arriving and departing to/from the James Richardson International Airport and other duties as assigned. We are seeking an individual with a positive attitude, strong initiative, and the flexibility to adapt to a rapid-paced and dynamic work environment. This individual must have impeccable communication and interpersonal skills; an incredible guest experience is the most important component of our trips.

The successful candidate will be one of the first and last faces that the guest sees and must understand the importance of the position.

This position reports to the Senior Field Operations Manager – Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Work alongside our Winnipeg Arrivals Specialists to provide an exceptionally warm welcome to our travelers upon their arrival at the airport. You will serve as one of the first Nat Hab representatives they encounter on their tour.
- Provide professional transportation service to/from the James Richardson International Airport and the Fort Garry Hotel.
- Carry, load, and unload luggage and other goods to and from the airports.
- Track guests' flights and accommodate delays.
- Assist guests with mobility issues and any other special requirements.
- Maintain the fleet of Nat Hab vehicles (gassing, washing, etc.).
- Assist the field operations team with any last-minute schedule interruptions (bad weather, cancellations, etc.)

- Troubleshoot issues in the field.
- Report any vehicle issues.
- Comply with and help enforce safety protocols across all aspects of field operations.
- Communicate in a respectful, professional, and solutions-focused manner with staff, vendors, and guests.

- Other duties as assigned.

TIME & SEASONALITY

This is a field-based, seasonal independent contractor (1099) position running approximately from September 29 to November 26, 2026. This role is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

While your hours will vary daily, it is certain that you will need to work long hours to accomplish our goal of ultimate customer service. It is understood that at times, it takes early mornings and late evenings to accomplish our goals. We do our best to accommodate your schedule and ensure you have 8 hours of rest in between shifts.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Must be local to Winnipeg or surrounding areas.
- Ability to communicate proficiently in English.

- Preference will be given to candidates with experience driving 10- and 15-passenger Ford Transit vans, as well as 24-passenger buses.
- Strong track record of dependability and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently as well as manage and prioritize tasks from a variety of team members efficiently.
- High levels of integrity,



professionalism, enthusiasm, and accountability.

- Passion for delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring smooth guest experiences.
- Ability to accommodate a variety of shifts; evenings, weekends, late nights and early mornings.
- Ability to withstand the Winnipeg winter weather.
- Ability to navigate throughout the city of Winnipeg efficiently.
- Strong ability to adapt in stressful situations and pivot as necessary.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and walk, stand, and bend for extended periods as part of daily job duties.

- Required credentials and certifications (must be current and obtained prior to the start of the season):
- Basic First Aid certification (or higher level First Aid training)
- CPR certification

- Canadian Class 4 Driver's License and a clean motor vehicle record

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Competitive daily rate, commensurate with experience, plus gratuities.
