Join us as an ESL Instructor Volunteer and make a meaningful difference in the lives of Russian-speaking seniors in our community.

In this role, you’ll lead engaging English lessons designed to build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and foster meaningful connections. This opportunity is ideal for passionate individuals who enjoy teaching and want to share their expertise while making a positive impact on the lives of older adults.

This is an unpaid volunteer position.

Responsibilities

- Design and deliver engaging, interactive English lessons tailored to the needs of Russian-speaking seniors
- Create a welcoming and supportive learning environment that encourages participation
- Monitor and assess learners’ progress to support their continued development





Skills & Qualifications

- Experience in teaching, tutoring, or language instruction
- Experience working with seniors is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain language concepts clearly and encourage learners
- Ability to speak Russian is an asset
- Solid organizational skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and adapting materials as needed
- Passion for education, cultural exchange, and empowering others through language learning

Pay: $1.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2.0 per week
