About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Sales Representative to develop and grow our flooring and interior finishing materials business in the Calgary market.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of the flooring industry, understands the local market, and has experience working with flooring stores, contractors, builders, renovators, designers, or other construction-related customers.

This position is best suited for someone who already understands flooring products and the sales process and is comfortable developing new business while maintaining long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

- Develop new customers and business opportunities in Calgary and surrounding areas
- Build and maintain relationships with flooring retailers, contractors, builders, renovators, designers, and other industry professionals
- Promote and sell flooring and other interior finishing materials
- Visit customers regularly and introduce new products, samples, and promotions
- Follow up on leads, quotations, samples, and customer inquiries
- Identify market opportunities and provide feedback on customer demand, pricing, products, and competitors
- Maintain robust relationships with existing customers and help increase repeat business
- Work closely with management regarding pricing, inventory, orders, and customer requirements
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the growth of the Calgary market

Requirements




- Minimum 3 years of experience in the flooring industry is required
- Previous experience in flooring sales, distribution, wholesale, retail, or related building materials is strongly preferred
- Good knowledge of flooring products such as SPC, vinyl, laminate, engineered hardwood, hardwood, or related products
- Existing relationships within the Calgary flooring or construction industry are considered a strong asset
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Comfortable developing new customers through visits, calls, referrals, and networking
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Ability to communicate professionally in English
