Position Title: Food, Beverage, and Hospitality Team Leader Position Type: Full-Time Permanent, In-Person Position
Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
Compensation: $23.60 - $29.50 per hour
Reports To: Food, Beverage, and Hospitality Manager

Position Summary
This is a permanent position.
The Food Beverage and Hospitality Team Leader supports the daily operations of the dining room by coordinating Front of House Services, Dining Room Assistants, and volunteers under the direction of the Food Beverage and Hospitality Manager. This role ensures safe, efficient,
and high-quality service while maintaining strong communication, consistent front-of-house standards, customer satisfaction, and responsible use of resources including reducing waste, monitoring inventory, caring for equipment, and promoting environmentally supportive work practices.
Responsibilities
- Supervises Kitchen Attendants, Dining Room Assistants and Volunteers, and administers Dining Room operations
- Opens dining room service ensuring all setup is complete
- Ensures clients’ satisfaction by responding to clients’ concerns and complaints and communicating with kitchen staff and senior management about clients’ needs
- Ensures dining service is provided in a manner that maximizes resources while ensuring the highest quality service
- Takes orders from clients, serves meals and completes payment transactions in an accurate and timely manner
- Coordinates the cleaning and sanitizing of all dining tables and service stations and maintains cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene of dining room area at all times and after closing service
- Promotes client safety by maintaining a clean and safe dining environment and responding to concerns, complaints and issues identified
- Reports to supervise any health and safety related issues in the dining room area and makes recommendations for quality improvement
Qualifications
- High School graduate with OSSD or equivalent
- 1-2 years’ experience as a server, host or coordinator in a busy restaurant
- Good verbal and written skills, in English, and Cantonese or Mandarin is required.
- Experience working with frail or cognitively impaired seniors
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Team oriented with the ability to provide positive leadership to volunteers within a team
- Ability to work on variable hours in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a multi-cultural workplace an asset
- Exposure to hot temperatures in the kitchen
- Standing and walking for long periods of time
- Vulnerable Sector screening required
- Food Handlers Certificate considered an asset.
