Provide compassionate support as a full-time Addiction Support Worker with Indwell in Cambridge, ON. Help tenants achieve health and housing stability through person-centered care.
In this role, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver essential mental health and addiction services to individuals facing long-term housing instability. Your support will encompass developing tailored plans utilizing a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed approach. Key Responsibilities: • Build therapeutic relationships promoting trust and hope • Develop and execute individualized tenant support plans • Work on tenant substance-related goals for recovery • Support tenant connections to community resources • Facilitate group programming to meet tenant needs
Requirements: • College diploma or bachelor's in addictions • Experience in mental health or addiction support • Robust communication and crisis intervention skills • Certification in First Aid & CPR • Recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check required
