we'd love to hear from you.About the RoleThis is a highly visible role where your work directly supports the planning, operation, and maintenance of Oakville Hydro’s electrical distribution system. As the GIS and CAD Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining GIS data, distribution system records, and electronic drawings while supporting construction projects, infrastructure improvements, and utility modernization initiatives.What You'll Be DoingCreate and maintain electronic drawings for electrical distribution construction projects, including overhead and underground systems, subdivisions, pad plans, and standard drawingsMaintain, update, and import distribution network information within the ESRI ArcFM GIS environmentPrepare and maintain construction drawings, permanent records, and associated documentationIssue drawings and records to internal departments as requiredMaintain equipment records, drawing indexes, and document management systemsSupport GIS data quality initiatives and system improvementsAssist with Oakville Hydro's digital transformation and modernization projectsProvide technical support related to GIS and CAD informationCollaborate with Engineering, Operations, and other internal stakeholdersPerform other related duties as assignedWhat You BringDiploma or Degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geographic Information Systems, Engineering Technology,
