Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Glazing Drafter to join our dynamic design team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise and comprehensive technical drawings and schematics for glazing systems used in commercial, residential, and architectural projects. Your expertise will help translate design concepts into clear, accurate plans that guide fabrication and installation processes.

Duties

- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings of glazing systems using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or SolidWorks
- Create accurate schematics, elevations, sections, and assembly details that adhere to project specifications and building codes
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to interpret design concepts into workable drafting plans
- Utilize SketchUp and NavisWorks for visualizations and clash detection to ensure seamless integration with other building systems
- Prepare fabrication and installation drawings that clearly communicate material specifications and assembly instructions
- Review project plans for accuracy, consistency,



and compliance with industry standards before final submission
- Assist in resolving design conflicts by providing detailed technical solutions through precise drafting

Qualifications

- Proven experience in architectural or construction drafting with a focus on glazing systems or related fields
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, and NavisWorks
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and industry standards for glazing installations
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings, schematics, and technical specifications effectively
- Familiarity with 2D animation tools is a plus for creating dynamic visual presentations of designs
- Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong communication skills for collaborating across teams
- Prior experience working on commercial or residential construction projects is highly desirable
