General SummaryThe Accounting Manager will lead our accounting and tax functions, driving operational excellence, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring full compliance with Canadian regulatory requirements. This role partners closely with senior leadership and plays a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information to support strategic decision‑making.Kia CanadaEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Closing ProcessLead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timelinessOversee the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedulesReview consolidation reports and ensure completeness and consistencyGeneral Accounting & ComplianceManage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliationsEnsure compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policiesMaintain the integrity and accuracy of financial recordsAudit & Internal ControlsCoordinate quarterly reviews and annual external audits, ensuring timelines and deliverables are metPrepare and maintain audit documentation; proactively address andresolve audit findingsDesign, implement, and continuously improve internal controls to mitigate risk and ensure complianceTaxationOversee corporate income tax, sales tax, excise tax, and other applicable regulatory filingsEnsure full compliance with Canadian tax regulations, including accurate and timely submissionsCollaborate with external tax advisors on complex tax matters, planning, and complianceLeadership & Team DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop accounting team members to support high performance and career growthDelegate tasks effectively and review deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timelinessPromote a culture of accountability,
