EIPS is recruiting a temporary full-time (1.0 FTE) Grade 3 Teacher at James Mowat Elementary.

James

Mowat Elementary serves approximately 360 students in kindergarten to Grade 6,

with 17 teaching staff and 11 support staff. The school is located in Fort

Saskatchewan, AB, approximately 20 kilometres north of Sherwood Park, AB. The school mission is to provide students with the tools to enable them to be successful. This happens by recognizing individual learning styles and equipping students with the best strategies to learn.

The goal is to have all students achieve the skills and knowledge necessary to be lifelong learners.

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Education degree
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Effective organization and classroom management skills
- Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice
- Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
