2nd Class Operating EngineerLocation: Collingwood, OntarioJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentShift: 12-Hour Shifts – Days & NightsCompensation: $48.74/hour + $2.00 shift prem on nightsPosition OverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced 2nd Class Operating Engineer to join a well-established industrial manufacturing facility in Collingwood, Ontario.Reporting to the Chief Operating Engineer, this position is responsible for the safe and reliable operation, maintenance, and repair of boilers, pressure vessels, compressed air systems, and reverse osmosis water systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining critical plant utilities while ensuring compliance with TSSA requirements and Ontario regulations.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operating Engineer who is comfortable working independently, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting a continuous manufacturing operation.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate, monitor, maintain, and repair boilers, pressure vessels, air compressors, and associated plant utility equipmentMonitor and control plant utilities using SCADA and computerized systemsEnsure reliable supply of steam, compressed air, and reverse osmosis water to productionTroubleshoot equipment and utility system issues to maintain equipment in valuable operating conditionPerform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and required repairsEnsure compliance with TSSA standards, the Ontario Operating Engineers Act, and Boiler and Pressure Vessels regulationsMaintain accurate operating records and documentationParticipate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
