We are seeking a passionate and energetic High School English Tutor to inspire and support students in developing their language skills. Duties
- Deliver engaging and personalized English tutoring sessions to high school students, focusing on reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and literature analysis
- Develop tailored lesson plans that align with students’ academic goals and curriculum requirements
- Support students in preparing for exams, essays, presentations, and other assessments
- Foster a positive learning workplace that encourages active participation and confidence-building
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills
- Incorporate multilingual support by utilizing knowledge of languages such as Mandarin, French, Spanish,
or Japanese when appropriate to aid understanding
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student progress, and areas for improvement
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children or teenagers in educational or tutoring settings
- Strong command of the English language with excellent writing skills
- Classroom experience or previous tutoring experience is highly preferred
- Fluency in additional languages such as Mandarin, French, Spanish, or Japanese is a significant advantage
- Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and engage students effectively
- Passion for education and helping students achieve their academic potential
