This role partners closely with HR Business Partners, Finance, and stakeholders to provide data-driven insights on pay decisions, market competitiveness, job leveling, and compliance. The Analyst plays a key role in annual compensation cycles and broader compensation initiatives to ensure programs align with business strategy and regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesCompensation Program SupportSupport the administration of annual compensation cycles (e.G., merit, variable pay, salary structure updates).Assist in the development, maintenance, and governance of salary structures and pay ranges aligned with market data and internal equity.Analyze compensation data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to pay competitiveness, compression, and fairness.Support compensation projects that impact the Division.Market Pricing & Job EvaluationConduct market pricing using reputable survey sources.Support job evaluations and job leveling activities using established methodologies.Partner with HR Business Partners on job reviews, role changes,
and structure impacts.Data Analysis & ReportingPrepare compensation analyses to support decision-making.Respond to ad hoc data requests related to pay, incentives, recognition.Ensure data integrity and accuracy within Workday and compensation tools.Compliance & GovernanceSupport compliance with applicable pay equity and pay transparency legislation.Assist with internal audits, documentation, and controls related to compensation practices.Contribute to the development of policies, guidelines, and manager tools.Stakeholder PartnershipAct as a trusted partner to HR Business Partners by providing clear, concise compensation guidance.Support manager inquiries related to pay decisions, offers, and internal movement.Contribute to cross‑functional compensation projects and process improvements.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.3–4 years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or a related function.Experience working with market survey data and job evaluation is preferred.Technical SkillsStrong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced Excel capabilities.Experience working with HRIS platforms (e.G., Workday) an asset.Ability to translate data into transparent insights and recommendations.Core CompetenciesHigh attention to detail and strong data integrity discipline.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Strong communication skills with the ability to explain compensation concepts clearly.Collaborative mindset with a customer‑focused approach.In our commitment to efficiency, consistency, and a fair hiring experience for all candidates, The Home Depot Canada uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to assist with the screening and assessment of applicants for this position.
