Why ChooseOlymel?CareerGrowth and Job Security:Enjoy a stable job withopportunities foradvancement.CompanyCulture:Be part of a close-knit, collaborative teamwhere every contribution isvalued.Benefits:Take advantage of competitive advantages and attractivecompensation.KeyResponsibilitiesPerform welding,fabrication, installation, modification, and repair work onproduction and facility equipment.Weldstainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, and other metals usingappropriate welding processes.Perform TIG,MIG, stick, and other welding asrequired.Fabricate and repair machine guards,frames, platforms, railings, brackets, chutes, tanks, and pipingcomponents.Complete sanitary stainless-steelwelds suitable for a food-productionenvironment.Inspect welds to ensure they meetquality, safety, and operationalrequirements.Read and interpret blueprints,technical drawings, sketches, and equipmentspecifications.Measure, cut, bend, grind, fit,and assemble metal components.Troubleshootdamaged or failed equipment and determine appropriate repairmethods.Perform preventive and correctivemaintenance according to establishedschedules.Support equipment installations,plant renovations, shutdowns, and continuous-improvementprojects.Complete work orders and accuratelydocument repairs, materials,



and maintenanceactivities.Coordinate work with production,sanitation, contractors, and other maintenancetrades.Follow all GMP, HACCP, food-safety,sanitation, lockout/tagout, hot-work, and company safetyprocedures.Maintain welding equipment, tools,and work areas in a safe, clean, and organizedcondition.Participate in overtime or emergencycall-outs when required.Perform othermaintenance and fabrication duties within the scope of theposition.QualificationsJourneypersonWelder certification is preferred; Red Seal endorsement isa strongasset.Previous industrial welding andfabrication experience is required.Experiencein food processing, meat production, manufacturing, or a similarindustrial environment is an asset.Strong TIGwelding experience, particularly with stainless steel, ispreferred.Demonstrated ability to produceclean, smooth, sanitary welds.Experience withMIG, stick, plasma cutting, grinding, and metal-formingequipment.Ability to read and interpretblueprints, drawings, measurements, and weldingsymbols.Strong mechanical aptitude andtroubleshooting skills.Knowledge of weldingprocedures, applicable codes,
