The Content Manager is a mission-driven storyteller who joins an award-winning Communications team to lead Catholic storytelling for The B.C. Catholic and other diocesan media across print and digital platforms. Under the direction of the Communications Director, the Content Manager identifies meaningful stories, shapes how they are told, and assigns them to writers, photographers, videographers and other creative professionals.This role goes beyond content production. The Content Manager helps the Church articulate how the Holy Spirit is at work in Vancouver, ensuring that stories are compelling, faithful, and aligned with the Archdiocese of Vancouver’s evangelization strategy.ResponsibilitiesLeads story planning across a monthly print publication, weekly email digest, and social media channels; Develops and manages content calendars that reflect the liturgical year, Archdiocesan priorities, major events and initiatives; Identify meaningful stories that highlight parish life, local ministries, vocations, faith formation, and lived experiences of discipleship; Approaches storytelling with an evangelization mindset, ensuring content invites encounter rather than simply conveying information; Collaborate with parishes, ministries, and Catholic organizations to find stories from across the Archdiocese; Guide, support, and editwork from a network of writers, photographers, videographers, and other content creators; Provide creative direction so stories are accessible, engaging, and resonant with diverse audiences; Adapt content for multiple formats, including print,



web, email, social, and video; Review written andmultimedia content for clarity, accuracy, tone, and theological soundness.Desired Skills and ExperienceExperience, education and training:Five (5) or more years of experience in content creation, media or communications; Post-secondary educationin communications, marketing, journalism, media, or a related field; Experience leadingcreative teams.Knowledge skills and abilities:A demonstrated commitment to the mission of the Catholic Church; Strong writing, editing,and storytelling skills across multiple platforms; Ability to build trust and collaborate with a wide range of people, including ministry leaders, pastors, writers, content creators, photographers, and creative professionals; Sound judgement, discretion, and pastoral sensitivity; Knowledge of evangelization, faith formation, or ministry contexts; Comfortable working withdigital publishing tools, email platforms, and social media channels.Conditions of EmploymentDemonstrates a model of servant leadership in all his/her endeavors; Ability to meet the Archdiocese of Vancouver’s Safe Environment policies; Must be compliant with all applicable personnel policies.This is a full-time position. Core office hours are 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM; It is understood that there may be evening and weekend work in order to fulfill the needs of this position; Comprehensive group extended health and dental advantages and pension plan offered; Annual salary range: $70,000 - $90,000.#J-18808-Ljbffr
