Prairie Co-operative is hiring a permanent full-time Junior Accountant at our Administration Office in Melville, SK.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Junior Accountant will be responsible for performing a range of general accounting activities, including supporting the analysis and preparation of financial reports and statements.

Key responsibilities include

- Preparing, reviewing, and verifying inventory and margin calculations on a period basis.
- Support financial statement processing.
- Complete account reconciliations, ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely resolutions for discrepancies.
- Responsible for developing a strong understanding of Prairie Co-op accounting procedures while collaborating with and supporting team members.
- May be required to travel across locations to provide training, guidance, and support.
- Other duties as assigned.
