Position Summary & Duties The Junior Avionics Engineer supports the research, evaluation, integration, certification, and sustainment of avionics systems across for both civil type certified and military non-type certified aircraft. Working under the guidance of senior engineering staff, the incumbent contributes to aircraft modification programs, avionics system upgrades, and fleet modernization initiatives while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory, airworthiness, and operational requirements.
The role assists in the development and implementation of modifications, including the preparation of technical documentation, engineering analyses, system integration activities,
and certification support.
The Junior Avionics
Engineer also participates in the evaluation and selection of commercial and military avionics systems, supporting the integration of communications, navigation, flight instruments, and mission systems.
The Junior Avionics Engineer helps deliver safe, reliable, and effective technical solutions that support current and future operational requirements.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to develop expertise in avionics system integration, aircraft certification and military capability development.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer or Aerospace Engineering or applicable equivalent (to this )
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux computer operating systems, and software development methods/processes, an asset
- Knowledge of Configuration Management, Airworthiness Clearance, Certification and Design concepts;
- Knowledge of aircraft design rules and standards;
- Fluent with the Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of SharePoint, an asset
- Able to draw engineering drawings with AutoCad. Solidworks experience an asset.
- Possess effective interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Positive knowledge of technical publications for aircraft and training systems.
- Strong organizational skills to meet tight deadlines
- Fluent written and oral communications skills in English
- Professional proficiency in French and or German, an asset
Working Conditions
- Occasional International travel will be required

Security Clearance Requirements/ CGP / ITAR:
Position requires Controlled Goods Clearance and must be eligible to receive a Level 2 (Secret) Clearance
