Position Profile:

Reporting to the Principals and Project Managers, the Junior/Intermediate Civil Project Designer plays a hands-on role in bringing municipal and land development projects to life — from early design through to successful completion. Working closely with senior team members, this individual takes on the core technical work of civil design, including drafting, project design, and technical analysis. Success in this role depends on strong attention to detail, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal team members and external partners.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Preliminary and Detailed Grading, Servicing and Stormwater Management Plans, Storm/Sanitary Drainage Area Plans, Plan and Profiles, Section and Detail drawings, Base Plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, in support of Draft Plan and Site Plan applications
- Functional Servicng and Stormwater Management reports in support of Draft Plan and Site Plan applications
- Water/wastewater servicing calculations
- Stormwater Quantity/Quality control calculations using applicable stormwater software
- Permit and approval applications with direct liaison with municipalities and/or agencies
- Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates
- Ensures quality control of design and production drawing work
- Attends site visits to confirm background information
- Collaboration with both internal and external team members,



as well as municipalities and/or agencies to support the overall success of projects
- Assists in interpretation and verifying compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices
- Performs a variety of tasks which may include analyzing proposed project solutions to ensure reliability, resource efficiency and cost effectiveness

Key Deliverables:

- Obtains all required permits and approvals from Municipalities or governing agencies in a consistent and timely manner
- Delivery of well-prepared reports, drawings and other design documents prior to submission deadlines
- Collaborates effectively with the design, project management and construction teams to ensure successful project completion, contributing fully by demonstrating a capable, logical, creative and cooperative approach to problem solving and execution
- A detail-oriented, logical approach and collaborative instinct to work well with the design team, construction team and project managers

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
