The Opportunity

Take pride in precision work? Valcom Antennas is looking for a Jr. Manual Machinist to join our team. In this hands-on role, you'll operate manual lathes and mills to craft critical components that meet tight tolerances and rigorous quality standards; machining parts for antenna and communications systems trusted around the world. What You’ll Do

- Operate and maintain manual lathes, mills, and related equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Set up machines, tools, and materials for optimal performance
- Machine parts to exacting standards and tight tolerances
- Inspect finished parts using precision tools like micrometers and calipers
- Troubleshoot and solve machining challenges to keep production on track
- Keep your work area safe, clean, and organized

What You Bring

- 1+ years of experience as a manual machinist in a manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma
- Basic knowledge operating manual lathes and mills (an asset)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Familiarity with hand tools or other machines (an asset)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings,



work instructions, and production documentation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment & follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to accurately complete production, quality, and safety documentation.
