We are seeking an individual who is dynamic and motivated; that has problem-solving and communication skills and a strong work ethic. The candidate should demonstrate a desire and interest in challenging assignments, advancement potential, and interest and ability to travel.ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibilities of this position would be to: Manage airport planning projects and perform planning tasks to support airport design projectsPerform airport site reviews via desktop study or site visit, engage with clients and stakeholders in support of airport planning and design projectsPrepare development/concept plans for airfield, terminal or ground transportation facilities compliant with applicable standards and regulationsPrepare written reports and deliverables for airport projectsPrepare and present concepts, final draft materials to airport authorities, stakeholders,
and the public as part of a project teamSupport the Airport Infrastructure and Buildings teams with Pursuits and Business Development activities, as requiredRequired and Preferred SkillsKnowledge of airside, terminal, and landside planning and airport master planning, assessments of traffic forecasts, airport facility requirements and demand/capacity analyses, airside, terminal and landside operations integration of systemsAirport terminal concept of operations and required systemsAircraft and ground vehicle movement simulation and modelling using AviPlanAirport and heliport planning principles and techniquesProject management skills and experienceClient and stakeholder engagement / presentations, discussions and workshopsAirport operations, management and aviation technical experience or trainingKnowledge and application of relevant and applicable aviation standards and regulatory framework for airports (ICAO, IATA, Transport Canada, FAA, etc.)Education and Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in a field that provides a strong foundation for aviation consulting, such as Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning,
Aviation Management or Operations5 years of increasingly responsible experience in airport planning or related fieldFamiliarity with the aviation industry and an ability to support new and existing client relationshipsExcellent analytical skills2D drafting skills using CAD softwareProject management skills and progressive experience in aviation projectsAbility to balance multiple concurrent projects and tasksExcellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communications skillsHigh level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Proficiency with airside planning software, such as AviplanAbility to establish and maintain effective working relations with staff and client organizationsTypical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
