Catalyze science education growth in Kahnawà:ke as a Science Curriculum Consultant. Champion curriculum design and teacher support to enhance student learning outcomes. This dynamic position focuses on developing and implementing the science curriculum across several grade levels within Kahnawà:ke schools.
The Science Curriculum
Consultant will work closely with the KEC team, leveraging curriculum strategies to ensure that educational practices are aligned with KEC’s Tsi Niionkwarihò:ten program. Successful candidates will display strong curriculum development skills and leadership. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and evaluate science curriculum guides
- Coach teachers in effective implementation strategies
- Collaborate with various educational stakeholders in curriculum alignment
- Recommend instructional materials and resources
- Monitor and support student assessment approaches Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Education focused on Science
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
- Background in First Nations education is a plus
- Proficient in English and knowledgeable in Kanien’kéha and French
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills Transform science education in Kahnawà:ke through innovative curriculum practices and team-oriented approaches.
