CCHR seeks a dedicated Lawyer specializing in tenant rights in Toronto, with a flexible remote work setup. Use your Ontario housing law expertise to advocate for vulnerable renters. This full time role at CCHR will involve significant client interaction and case management, supporting low-income tenants facing housing challenges.

You will play a crucial role in representing clients, negotiating disputes, and collaborating with community partners. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about housing equity, this position is for you. Key Responsibilities:

- Represent clients at eviction hearings and tenant applications
- Conduct legal negotiations and mediation with landlords
- Maintain detailed notes and client records in relevant systems




- Build relationships with community organizations and service providers
- Facilitate educational workshops on housing rights Requirements:
- Called to the Bar of Ontario with at least 3 years of legal experience
- Proven experience with landlord-tenant legal matters
- Strong familiarity with housing law and equity-seeking issues
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
