Job Title: Lead Specialist, Data Product
Department: Product – Sun Team
Location : YYZ or YUL
Reporting Manager: Manager, Product The Lead Specialist, Data Product is responsible for overseeing accuracy and optimization of hotel content and data across Air Canada Vacations’ product platforms. Acting as the senior subject-matter expert for supplier data. This role ensures that all information such as categories, amenities, descriptions, images, promotions, and operational attributes is accurately maintained, efficiently integrated, and aligned with ACV’s product strategy and brand standards and guidelines.
What You'll Be Doing
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and continuous updating of supplier data across all internal systems and product platforms.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of supplier content including, categories, bedding, amenities, restrictions, promotions, images, inclusions, exclusions, descriptions, etc.
- Act as the final quality-control point for all supplier data loaded into the system,
ensuring consistency and error-free output.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and coordinate with internal teams to resolve system or content issues by performing website quality checks.
- Act as the escalation point for complex data related questions or system issues.
- Liaise with suppliers and destination partners to validate content accuracy and obtain missing data or updates.
- Support testing of new product lines, automated tools, and integrations.
- Prepare periodic reports on data quality, processing times, and error resolution.
Support new product lines as required.
What You Bring To The Team
- College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Business, Data Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel data management, product loading, hospitality distribution, or tourism operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced level preferred).
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
