Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this position is $92,000 to $120,000

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Casualty, the Leader, Bodily Injury is accountable for the effective and efficient operation of the Bodily Injury team to achieve maximum results, efficiencies, and performance through effective leadership. This role provides leadership and direction to employees, supports claims best practices and compliance, and drives performance and an exceptional member experience.

How you will create an impact
- Leads key initiatives within the claims team and drives continuous improvement, standardization, and process efficiencies
- Proactively identifies, monitors, and intervenes on potential highly complex, problematic, or potentially fraudulent claims
- Understands and applies best business practices toward compliance, internal control, and operational risk controls
- Provides superior member service to policyholders and brokers and ensures high service standards are upheld
- Provides coaching, feedback, development, and career path support to enhance internal talent
- Provides strategy and direction to the Bodily Injury team to build and engage a highly effective team aligned to business priorities
What you will bring
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Internet navigation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of employees
- Superior problem-solving and analytical skills, balanced with strong decision-making abilities
- Completion or working towards Certified Insurance Professional/Fellowship Certified Insurance Professional designation is an asset
- Post-secondary education combined with relevant work experience is considered an asset
- 5–7 years of experience in P&C; insurance with direct experience in Bodily Injury claims handling and leading teams
