Work environment The Public Prosecution Service of Canada (PPSC) is a national organization of approximately 1,000 employees across Canada, dedicated to prosecuting federal offences.

Our office is located in the heart of the city in the Guy-Favreau Complex in Montréal, the Quebec Regional Office (QRO) is easily accessible by public transportation. The QRO Legal Assistants provide legal and administrative support to a team of Crown prosecutors in cases of prosecution under the various federal statutes. Being the main point of contact between all parties involved in the files, the Assistant ensures coordination and follow-up with the Court, investigators from various federal investigative agencies, defense lawyers and other parties involved. They provide physical and digital legal file maintenance. Preparing legal documents, handling correspondence and requests for information are an integral part of the day-to-day work of our assistants. Intent of the process

This process is anticipatory and aims to establish a list of qualified and/or partially qualified candidates. This list may be used to staff positions in the Quebec Regional Office, as operational needs arise, with varying employment durations and different security requirements.

Asset Education

- Experience providing legal and administrative support to legal professionals in the criminal law field.
- Experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm, court, prosecution service, or other legal setting.
