Overview

We are seeking a skilled Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for eye care and providing exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

- Assist customers in selecting eyewear that meets their prescription needs and style preferences, including explaining customers on various premium lenses option
- Take accurate measurements for eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and usage
- Provide contact lens training and fitting for customers
- Dispense eye glasses and contact lenses
- Adjust and repair eyeglasses as needed
- Process orders for eyewear and contact lenses
- Maintain inventory of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies

Skills





- Robust sales skills with a background in retail sales
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to optometry
- Experience in retail management is a plus
- Familiarity with optical equipment and laboratory procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Experience

- Optical experience: 2 years (required)
- Sales: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:
- License from The College of Opticians of Ontario (required)
