Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team in Downtown Kitchener. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and wants to build or develop their culinary skills.

The successful candidate will help with food preparation, cooking, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the kitchen team to ensure food is prepared safely, efficiently, and consistently.

Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and kitchen standards.
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Assist with chopping, marinating, portioning, and other food preparation tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
- Follow proper food handling, hygiene, and food safety procedures.
- Properly store and label food items according to kitchen standards.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Follow instructions and maintain consistent portion sizes and presentation.




- Comply with applicable health and safety regulations.

Requirements
- Previous restaurant, food service, line cook, or kitchen experience is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of cooking methods and food preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform regular kitchen duties.
- Must have valid authorization to work in Canada.
- Available for full-time or part-time work.
